"Hans Christian Andersen was born in the slums of Odense. His father, Hans Andersen, was a poor shoemaker and literate, who believed he was of aristocratic origin. Andersen's mother, Anne Marie Andersdatter, worked as washerwoman. Although she was uneducated and superstitious, she opened for his son the world of folklore."" Andersen received little education. As a child he was highly emotional, suffering all kinds of fears and humiliations because of his tallness and effeminate interests. Andersen's hysterical attacks of cramps were falsely diagnosed as epileptic fits. Encouraged by his parents he composed his own fairy tales and arrange puppet theatre shows. His father loved literatuire and took Andersen often to the playhouse. "My father gratified me in all my wishes," wrote Andersen in The True Story of My Life (1846). ""Andersen's last unfilled love was the Swedish opera singer Jenny Lind, whom he met first time in 1840. Jenny was the illegitimate daughter of a schoolmistress. According to her own words, she was at the age of nine "a small, ugly, broad-nosed, shy, gauche, altogether undergrown girl". At eighteen, she had made her breakthrough as a singer with her powerful soprano. 'The Ugly Duckling' become Jenny's favorite among Andersen's stories. However, 'Andersen's 'The Nightingale' is considered a tribute to Jenny, or "the Swedish Nightingale" as she was called. "Farewell," she wrote him in 1844, "God bless and protect my brother is the sincere wish of his affectionate sister, Jenny." Andersen never married. "B I O G R A P H Y P R O J E C THans Kristian Andersen is the one of the most famoust writers on the world.With his tales he became a hero not just for the children.The adults read his tales too.The people read his tales today too.”The ugly duckling” is his the biggest accomplishment.His fatherloved literatuire.He lived just for Hans Kristian.He often took Andersen to the playhouse.His father read to him Arabian tales.When Hans Kristian wanted to hear him,he was so happy like never.His father was the man who rase the poetry in his hearth.He was a good singer,dancer and actor,but when his voice changed,in his hearth he felt a poetry.Then he knew that tahe minds in his head mean that he have to be a writer.From Hans Kristian Andersen`s live I learnt that with hard work you can to do everything.You haven`t to be just rich.He was so poor,but hi “fought” with his poor destiny.He wasn`t writer when he was a little child.He was singer,dancer,acter and after that he became a famous writer.Hans Kristian Andersen is so impact person.With his tales I was growing up.My favourite tale was “The ugly duckling”.Everybody read his tales.This isn`t a small impact.His tales wera sold everywhere,in every country.The children love him and the adults love him because there were a little kids too.
